The results of the veneer work are fantastic. Living with tetracycline staining for practically 40 years was a profound burden for me but, in order to free myself from that burden, I demanded that two criteria had to be filled. Firstly, technical excellence was imperative. Anything less was intolerable. I needed to believe that I was getting the care of the best practitioner in the city because I lived with teeth that made me feel humiliated and I need dental work that was on the other end of the spectrum: excellent. Not a perfect smile, but a perfectly normal smile. Secondly, continuing care was important to ensure the work was how I had envisioned it and to perform any minor modifications. This ensured that I could feel confident that I got a smile with which I was confident and physically comfortable.
At Dr. Andrew Shannon's office, I received the above and more. The results of the veneer work are fantastic. I was very much a part of the decision making process, was offered clear options and explanations and descriptions of best and worst case outcomes, and the technical work is superb. The continuing care was there in spades and will continue over the years. But more, I was treated with remarkably caring professionalism by all of the people in Dr. Shannon’s office, from the front staff to the dental assistant to Dr. Shannon, and what a difference it made! I am grateful to them all for their decency and kindness.
